What’s 4(th) Dessert?

With the 4th of July hooplah right around the corner (if you’re in the US of A) and my sweet tooth on lock 24/7, I’d like to share 4 of my favorite patriotic pastries that you can make if you’ve recently been dealt the “Surprise! All 25 of us are coming to YOUR house for a COOKOUT! ON FRIDAY!!!” card like I have before. Some are super simple and some are a little more complicated if you’re like Rachael Ray or Martha Stewart or something (applause to you). All of them sound delicious. And feel free to make them wherever you are in any colors, because dessert.

I would have posted these sooner, but my internet has been down the past few days (sobs), so I suppose we’d better get on with this. They’re in increasing order of difficulty, so if you’re in a hurry, the first two are for you.

Literally dip the edges of an ice cream sandwich in sprinkles. The end.

Also very easy. And cute. And you can disguise fruit as dessert for the kids! (You cruel human. Just kidding. Michelle Obama is proud of you.)

I have zero idea how to accomplish this but it’s amazing. Props to you if you do this one.

Happy 4th everyone!
